Role Summary
The Oracle FCCS Consultant will support, enhance, and optimise the Oracle FCCS application within the organisation. The role involves working closely with Group Finance Consolidation to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial consolidation and reporting. The consultant will act as the primary subject-matter expert for month-end close (MEC), system governance, configuration updates, and ongoing support after vendor hypercare.
Key Accountabilities
1. Month-End Close (MEC) & Financial Consolidation Support
Manage and oversee the end-to-end financial consolidation cycle within FCCS, ensuring timely availability of actuals and elimination results.
Troubleshoot and resolve consolidation issues, data load failures, translation mismatches, and intercompany discrepancies.
Monitor consolidation, currency translation, and elimination jobs; ensure alignment with group accounting policies.
Validate consolidation results with Group Finance and provide system-based insights to speed up MEC.
2. Application Maintenance & Enhancements
Maintain metadata, hierarchies, and mappings for Entities, Accounts, ICP, UD dimensions, Scenarios, and movement members.
Develop and maintain Smart View reports, dashboards, data forms, and ad-hoc analyses for consolidation teams.
Implement minor enhancements, including config changes, forms optimisations, data map updates, and rules fixes.
Assist with patch impact assessments (readiness checks) and regression testing for monthly updates.
3. Data Integrations & Validations
Manage integrations between Fusion Financials and FCCS using Data Management.
Monitor data pipelines, resolve data load errors, and ensure mapping accuracy (source-to-target).
Build and maintain validation reports to ensure data completeness and accuracy before consolidation.
4. Governance, Controls & Process Improvements
Optimise consolidation processes to reduce MEC timelines and improve system reliability.
Implement best practices for data governance, access controls, and segregation of duties.
Create and maintain SOPs, runbooks, period-end checklists, and troubleshooting guides.
5. User Support, Training & Stakeholder Management
Act as the primary system liaison for Group Finance Consolidation, FSS teams.
Provide Level 1 & Level 2 support for FCCS-related issues and ensure timely resolution.
Conduct periodic user trainings (ad-hoc and scheduled) on FCCS functionality and Smart View usage.
Collaborate with external support partners for advanced issues—tracking SLAs, ensuring accountability.
Work closely with IT, FP&A, and Finance Transformation teams on future roadmap initiatives. **
